We understand you may be feeling more anxious during your pregnancy right now due to COVID-19. While research on COVID-19 continues, the health of you and your baby remain our priority. We have put together guidelines to help you stay safe.

At Hoag, we understand you may be feeling more anxious in these uncertain times and want you to know we are here to provide the most timely information to stay healthy.  Access to a dedicated OB education RN, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) is available to address your questions and concerns about COVID-19.

The Pregnancy and Breastfeeding COVID-19 Hotline is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. (closed holidays).

All pregnant patients who are coming to Hoag Hospital Newport Beach will enter through the Patient Pickup Entrance of the Sue & Bill Gross Women’s Pavilion.

Facts about COVID-19 and Pregnancy

  • It is unknown if pregnant women are at a higher risk of illness from COVID-19 compared to the general public. 
  • It is always important to take extra precautions to stay healthy when pregnant.

Staying Safe While Pregnant

Pregnant women should practice the same safety measures recommended to the general public to avoid infection.
